Dalal Farah Baird Dalalism Art By Dalal Farah Baird Creating a piece of art is not unlike meditation for me. I usually start with an idea and hardly with a sketch. I let the brush move freely over the canvas to communicate my emotions. I am not a scientist � and yet my paintings are inspired by the cells seen under an electron microscope. A self-taught artist, I see my artwork as art and science dancing in harmony with a message that our thoughts affect our cells and in turn our health and well-being. In my workplace, I introduced the �how are your cells?� greeting and I often ask people to �look after your cells�! I am an Australian citizen from a Lebanese/Syrian background. I have participated in solo and group exhibitions in Sydney, Beirut, Dubai, Paris and New York. I also appeared on a number of TV channels.
